At KIKS Vacation Rentals, we partner with ChargeAutomation to provide our guests with a seamless, secure, and completely contactless digital check-in and payment experience.
By leveraging ChargeAutomation's enterprise-grade hospitality software, we ensure that managing your reservation, completing payments, and accessing your property is entirely frictionless.
1. Your Secure Guest Portal
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a link to your personalized, secure ChargeAutomation Guest Portal. This portal is your central hub for everything related to your stay. Through it, you can:
- View your detailed billing history and upcoming payment schedules.
- Securely update or change your credit card on file.
- Complete your mandatory pre-arrival check-in and ID verification.
- Review check-in instructions and access codes when they become available.
2. World-Class Payment Security
Through our integration with ChargeAutomation, your financial data is protected by the highest standards of modern cybersecurity:
- Stripe Verified Partner: ChargeAutomationseamlessly handles transactions utilizing Stripe's global network, supporting industry-leading payment processing.
- PCI-DSS Compliant: Our checkout and guest portal infrastructure meets strict Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. Your credit card information is fully encrypted and tokenized. KIKS never sees or stores your raw card details.
3. Automated Payment Schedules
To keep your booking secure without requiring manual outreach, all payment milestones are handled automatically within the ChargeAutomation system:
- Initial Deposit: Collected immediately at the time of booking to lock in your requested dates.
- Final Balance Payments: Any remaining balances, cleaning fees, or local lodging taxes are automatically calculated and processed by ChargeAutomationon their exact due dates based on your property's specific cancellation window.
- Declined Transactions: If an automated payment fails, ChargeAutomation will instantly notify you via text and email with a secure link to update your payment method. Guests have 24 hours to provide a valid card before the reservation is subject to automated cancellation.
4. Smart Security Holds
We do not believe in tying up your vacation funds unnecessarily. ChargeAutomation allows us to utilize pre-authorization holds rather than actual cash charges for security deposits.
How it works: A temporary authorization hold is placed on your card just prior to check-in. The funds never leave your account. Within 3 days after your checkout, assuming no major damages occur, ChargeAutomation automatically dissolves the hold, freeing up your balance.
5. Mandatory Digital Verification
To protect our property owners and prevent identity theft, all direct bookings are screened using ChargeAutomation's advanced biometric and ID verification tools. Before check-in instructions can be released, guests must upload a valid government-issued ID via the portal. This quick, one-time process securely validates your identity and protects the KIKS community against fraud.
